Arranger

An arrangement is an adaptation of a musical composition by rescoring, often for single instrument or group of instruments different from the original.  This makes it possible for a school band, for example, to play a composition written for full orchestra, or for a pianist (or 2) to play a composition written for a band.

Here are some examples, in different styles.

Jazz (Original work)

Classical (original performance)

Latin (original work)

March (original work)

Christmas song (original arrangement)
